I like very much the peruvian food, because I was born in Lima, so I grew up with a
variety of dishes and desserts . In Santiago there is a plenty of cultures, and there are a lot of peruvian
restaurants of course, thanks god :), sometimes I go to ¨La casa del Cheff¨
www.lacasadelchef.com, the prices are a little expensive (not much), but I
recommend it, this restaurant has many dishes. Close my Faculty
(Independencia), there are many peruvian restaurants I used to go to ¨Tacu Tacu¨ (Bezanilla with
Independencia), it is close by a lot of undertaker´s XD, the prices are a little cheaper than ¨La Casa del Cheff¨ but the food is
delicious too, a menu price is about 3500 ¨pesos¨ (include a starter, dessert and a drink), I recommend ¨Pescado a lo
macho¨, my favorite meal, it is a seafood, a good fish, a delicious sauce, and
a little of rice, but if you go you should say that no so much salt, because sometimes they cook with a tiny excess of salt.
I think that the best oven Empanadas in
Santiago are in ¨Ña Matea¨ , Cheese prawn pasty is my favourite,
the location: in Bellavista Purisima
171, and there are branches in HUechuraba and Providencia districts , for more
information: www.namatea.cl.
If you like Italian food, ¨Pasta E Basta¨, its
a good option, a little expensive, it is in Isidora Goyenechea with Vitacura I
recommend Spinach´s Gnocchi, I do not
remember the dish name exactly.
PD: Pasty=Empanada, is it a good translation?
I am not sure…….but I am hungry now :)
